Positions & Public Record

Healthcare

Expand state authority to investigate Medicaid-benefit fraud

Moody’s STOP FRAUD in Medicaid Act would let state Medicaid Fraud Control Units investigate recipient-benefit fraud in addition to provider fraud. Her office also describes a separate proposal to increase financial and criminal penalties for healthcare fraud.

Immigration

Reimburse state immigration enforcement and coordinate migrant-child placement

Moody introduced the RIPPLE Act to expand reimbursable personnel costs for state and local police participating in federal 287(g) immigration enforcement. Her Stop GAPS Act would require federal refugee-resettlement officials to coordinate with states on placement and tracking of unaccompanied migrant children.

Iran

Maintain sanctions pressure on Iran’s nuclear program

Moody supported European snapback sanctions and urged sustained economic pressure until Iran’s nuclear program was verifiably dismantled. The September 2025 letter also called for IAEA access, restrictions on proliferation and pressure on Iran’s overseas banking operations.

This is a September 2025 sanctions position. It does not by itself establish her position on the 2026 Iran war or a later war-powers vote.

Israel / Gaza

Condition UN funding on Israel’s participation

Moody joined the Stand with Israel Act to cut U.S. funding for UN bodies that expel, downgrade, suspend or otherwise restrict Israel’s participation. In her statement she supported Israel and argued that U.S. funding should not sustain UN actions that undermine it.

This is evidence about Israel and UN funding, not a complete position on Gaza aid, civilian protection, ceasefires or every arms sale.

Government accountability

Investigate fraud in federal health spending

Moody became health-subcommittee co-chair of a Republican HELP Committee fraud task force with Roger Marshall. The announced program focuses on oversight of federal health funding and investigating misuse of public money. Allegations and numerical fraud estimates quoted by politicians are not independently verified here.

Liability for unauthorized AI voice and image replicas

As an original cosponsor of the NO FAKES Act, Moody supports legal protections against unauthorized digital replicas of a person’s voice or likeness. Her office says the proposal would impose liability on distributors and on platforms that knowingly host unauthorized replicas.

Preserve the Gulf offshore military testing range

Moody joined Scott’s proposal to protect the Eglin Gulf Test and Training Range from uses that would interfere with military testing. Her statement links preservation of the range to national security and protection of Florida’s Gulf Coast.

Figures belong to this account and reporting period. They are not lifetime funding or personal wealth. Receipts, in-kind contributions, loans and spending are separate measures.

Named committee amounts are spending-side reported contributions, not an exhaustive list of all individual donors. They are not added again to campaign receipt totals.

Independent expenditures are outside spending; campaigns do not receive these amounts. Missing amounts or committees do not establish zero funding or absence of political support.

Earmarked/conduit and memo entries are excluded from direct-contribution totals. A committee passing on earmarked individual gifts is not treated as the original donor.

IE processing removes superseded reports and repeated transaction IDs; late or amended reports may change totals. Current source records should be reviewed before drawing conclusions.
